QPTC hosts regular Pilates classes on Friday mornings at 9.30am, run by qualified coach Katie Bringloe.
Targeting the deep abdominal muscles that support the spine, Pilates builds strength from the inside out, re-balancing the body and bringing it in to correct alignment. By focusing on precision of movement and alignment, Pilates helps to correct muscle imbalance and provides you with an awareness of how you move your body and hold yourself in every day life. Pilates will improve your posture, achieving a perfect balance between strength and flexibility. The QPTC course costs £57 for the six weeks, and needs to be booked in advance (details below)
Katie (left) writes: “As a certified Teacher with Body Control Pilates I have enjoyed teaching people of all ages and abilities for 10 years. I started practising Pilates in 2006, with the aim of toning up my body, improving my flexibility and relieving lower back ache. Pilates not only helped me achieve all this, it also gave me confidence and I have become stronger and more flexible than I ever thought possible. Each year, I attend training courses so that I can continue to develop my skills and knowledge as a teacher and keep my classes diverse and interesting.”
